Where the map ends

So this guy writes Christian speculative fiction.

I've never read any of his books, but the tips he gives are pretty good, and...make me laugh. :)

Better question might be, "Why are you posting spam on a CHRISTIAN FICTION FORUM??!?!?!?!!!?!?!"
Sheesh.

Mindarin, I've read some of his stuff, and he's pretty good. He owns a company called Marcher Lord Press that's put out some of the best Christian spec-fic in forever--Hero, Second Class, is fantastic, and he's recently signed Kathy Tyers (of Firebird and some StarWars fame) as well as Sharon Hinke, who wrote the Restorer's trilogy. Gooooood stuff. :)

Well, karlaa says things that make enough sense that I doubt it's a spam bot, but then says things like "why would I be interested in Christian fiction", which, given the forum, doesn't make sense to me...A smart spam bot? Or a person (with what looks like an advertisement sig) that just makes odd posts? And doesn't seem to follow them up, either, although that might just be the general lack of activity...

It's a person who just likes to look like she/he's actually interested so we'll read their post, but the main point of their posts are to put up a spam link. (Eye roll) As if this is the most popular place in the world to spam and actually get results...

Meh. Activity is activity. As someone who also doesn't care for Christian fiction (largely because I'm still waiting for some that will impress me), I don't mind humoring her/him/them. :P

Oh, I don't care whether they're interested in Christian spec-fic or not. That's whatever. But posting something that looks like you're paying attention just to get your ad in is annoying like a seventh Twilight movie is annoying. XD
That's like walking up to a group of people, listening just long enough to figure out what they're talking about, making a random comment that kinda fits, and then trying to sell them a watch out of your coat. Bad taste.

Unless, of course, the watches are actually time-turners, but that's beside the point.

...if they make a movie out of Midnight Sun and that Bree Tanner thing, there WILL be seven Twilight movies. That's beyond annoying. That's just gross. :(

And yeah, okay, I see where you're coming from. I still say humor them; the link doesn't even slow down my browser like some of the old sigs used to, so I just ignore it. It's getting us to post and that's a plus, right? XD

Bah, and my kingdom for a Time Turner. ...for some reason I thought you were one of the folks here who didn't do HP; am I remembering wrong?

...Some of us are capable of change...LOL

Eh, I'm still not going to go out and buy them for my kids or anything, but I've read and enjoyed them. However, I'm glad I didn't read them at the age when I was all HARRY POTTER MUST DIIIIIEEEEE because I probably would have been one of those freak cases that jump off buildings with a broom or something. LOL I was a bit obsessive over what I read at that age.
But yeah. I've read them enough to be able to reference them.
