I actually have an idea for a challenge. Mind if I share?

:D K, it's kind of involved, so if anything doesn't make sense just ask me and I'll try and explain it better.

Write a scene containing a conversation where the topic is not explicitly stated, but is nevertheless clear to the reader. The conversation can be internal, with just one character being introspective, or an actual conversation between two or more characters. This can take a variety of forms; for example, it could be two people who both know what the other is talking about, or it could be that only one character (and the reader) knows what he or she is talking about, but the other character is completely lost. Or, for a more difficult variation, try writing a conversation where both characters know what's going on and it's implied and possible for the reader to figure out or at least get the gist, but takes a bit of thinking.

very short but at least I'm writing again....

“they're quite pretty really.” Anna said as she gently ran her fingers over his skin.
“Please don't.” he pulled apart from her and looked away.
She gasped, “I'm sorry, I never thought, do they hurt.”
Felix forced a smile, “Sometimes. Don't worry your pretty little head about it.”
“Don't baby me.” she pouted, “What happened to you Felix? You leave for three years and you come back with those things. Where did you get them? Why?”
“The Mages gave them to me as a... gift.” he said still not quite looking her in the eye.
“But they hurt?”
“I'm sure the Mages meant well.” his smile was anything but joyful. “it was an experiment, they wanted to see what would happen if they forced magic onto something that was already inherently magical. An elf for example.”
“oh, by Lathen, they used magic to do that?”
“Not so pretty now are they?” he sneered.
“No! I never- I mean- I thought- “
“that they were pretty little swirls of color? Hardly. It did succeed in one area now, those infernal voice are dead in my head.”
“the elements no longer speak to you?” Anna gasped, horrified.
“blessedly no. I hear different voices. The Mages say they opened me to the arcane plane.”
“As opposed to the elemental one? How could they? Where will your spirit go when you die? You cannot rest with the elements if you do not hear their voice! Wash off them off! Scrub your skin till it's gone!”
“I can't, think you I haven't tried?” he smirked, “I have other talents though that compensate for it though. The arcane is a wonderful place sister and someday I may show it to you.”
she shuddered, “Just make them go away, get those hideous things off your skin now.”

Heh... I'm fangirling over Nishaun and Lunescent again <3

Nishaun hesitated and looked up at her. “Did he give that to you?” he asked. He felt Lunescent tense up, and he moved his hand.
“Yes,” she quietly answered. “And there are others.” She turned away, and he saw more of them.
“How could he do it?” Nishaun asked. “I can’t understand it.”
“Don’t try to.” Lunescent turned back to face Nishaun. “All I know is that they will never go away. A reminder of my past, I suppose.” She paused and let out a small smile. “And you have one yourself.”
“Sadly, yes. But it cannot be as bad as yours.”
“No, I disagree.”
Nishaun turned over, and he felt Lunescent’s hand on his back. “See?” he asked.
“It is bad, yes. Only one being could do that to their own offspring. We are both marked. Shall we commiserate?”
Nishaun turned to look at her, and he slightly scowled. “I’d prefer not to. Not now.”
“Hmm. Not talking about it will not lessen the pain.”
“No, I didn’t mean that. I meant I didn’t want to talk about it at this moment.”
“Ah.” Lunescent smiled and stroked Nishaun’s cheek. “I see.”
“Lunescent.”
“Yes?”
“If I ever do anything like that-”
“You never will.”
“You sound sure of yourself.”
“Coal Eyes was a goat and a lion. You are not that. You are…” She paused and searched for the right words. “You are a sheep and a bear.”
“But sheep are stupid.”
“You are missing the point, Nishaun. I could care less if you are an idiot, but you are certainly not a goat.”
“Well, thank you. I feel much better.” He sat up and kissed her forehead. “And I shall keep the knives away from you.”
“Nishaun Rilenk- Smanite, why in Trenatil would I come at you with one?”
“Maybe if I act like a goat. Or if you mistake me for someone else.”
“Watch your mouth.”
“Really?”
“Yes. Now let us change the subject.”
“Gladly, Lunescent.” Her lips pressed against his, and they went down.
