That's actually a really hard one for me, since I really like just about everything. I definitely like writing traditional-type fantasy, mostly, I think, because the first actual full-length novels I read were fantasy, and I enjoyed reading it and also enjoy writing it.
Modern fantasy I also like writing, because I like seeing how different aspects of fantasy and/or traidtional lore/myth can be made to fit into a modern-day society and how it works.

While those are more the style of the novels I've written (aka, my NaNos for the past two years), I actually really like writing just about everything. I like trying out new things in writing.

def the current one i'm working in. its a world full of demons and angels and i think what i like is how clearly i was able to draw the lines between good and evil without making it overly preachy or unrealistic. soemtimes thigns can be so confusing in real life and i love how i can go into this world and everything is (almost) black and white

So this is on our favorite story that we have done?
I'd say the very first one I wrote when I was like 11. I never finished it and it was terrible but I loved it.

Hm, I'd probably say my last year's NaNo. The fictional world was awesome and just kind of unfolded in front of me. It was a lot different from most things I'd written before...I can't really explain how, but it was cool.

Wow, um...I really don't know. I guess I'll have to say Rhoive, the world/universe that quite a few of my stories take place in, because the way everything started fitting together was incredible. Especially when one story came around and everything made even more sense. So many of my favorite characters come from there.

I'd have to say Three Dark Roses, my WiP. It's got so much going for it.

I think my favorite is always the one I'm currently working on. Or "ones", since I can't seem to focus on only one thing at a time. Currently, that would be my Apricot Pie story, "Flyer" (my first serious venture into sci-fi) and a thriller called Thirty Six Knots that's finally managing to get off the ground.

Yikes, a fav? I'd have to say that 'Scales' *winces at title*--My Nano currently in the last stages of seond draft is my fav right now. It would be cheating to say that my favorite is one not yet written. One that doesnt have a title but is more-or-less a *cough* sequel *cough* to Scales. I love the idea for it and well...I love it.

My favorite so far has been my WiP for the last three years; I love watching it develop and evolve, despite its rebellious nature. Plus it has my favorite female char in it.

After thinking about it all day, I come to a conclusion that probably surprises no one: my favorite world/story to work in is Ringlerin. I think this is partially because I got dragged into it at a time in my life when I was being a total perfectionist re: my writing (well, re: everything), and it was one of the only mental places where I felt free to do whatever.

But there's something about Rin that's just...light. Whenever I come back to it I feel the weight lift off my shoulders. I love every single character in that story (including the ones that drive me crazy) and I love every single person that writes it with me (including the ones that drive me crazy!! which would be ALL OF YOU). And the world is just so huge and open, the magic is rare and powerful, there are people with wings!!

It's the story that made me not hate elves. Even though I still hate elves. Oh Rin.

AHEM.

QUESTION #2: How many characters do you have? Do you prefer males or females?

Feel free to still answer #1, or answer them both in the same post, or whatever. The point is to write and to share~ And thanks to all who've replied! :D
