"I am a girl, yet I am a Gypsy both, how can that be?" Gaela asked her back, finding a package and sniffing it to find the small collection of spices and seasonings that someone had managed to pack.

"But that's different," Ro insisted. "Some things can be both, but some can't be. I'm a girl, and I'm a child, and that's okay, but dresses and blankets are sewed different."

Fletcher suddenly stood, his one arm going to his sword hilt. "did you hear that?" he asked.

" What?" Crow asked, also standing up. " Cassandra? Is that you?"

I'd like to make myself believe
That planet Earth turns slowly
It's hard to say that I'd rather stay
Awake when I'm asleep
'Cause everything is never as it seems.

Fletcher strained his hearing, then drew his sword. "I dont think so. Not unless she has suddenly befriended something. A few somethings." he drew his sword and turned it awkwardly, then went into the courtyard.

He glanced to where he had tied Martin and noticed the horses twitching ears. "come out, come out wherever you are..." He muttered. "Crow, you might want to find your sister."

(I dont know whats going on, I just felt the need to post. Will figure it out though.)

Crow peeked outside, but there was no sign of Cassandra. His heart jumped, but he forced himself to be calm. He crept out the door, sticking to the shadows. " Cass?" he whispered. " Where are you?"

" Shh!" Crow hissed in a low whisper. He continued creeping through the overgrown grass and the once- tidy gardens that were now full of brush and weeds, a silent shadow in the darkness.

" Cass?" he whispered again. " Cass?"

Fletcher stopped suddenly and crouched down in the brown long grass. Silently, he slipped his cowl over his head and watched from beneath it, sstudying the movements of the grass and the shadows of trees and clouds under the moon. After a minute he moved again, weaving and swaying to blend with the shadows; he disapeared into the dark.

Something felt very wrong.

In the distance he finaly heard the sound that his ears had been straining to hear. Hoofbeats and footfalls.

Straining towards the sound he could finally see the people heading his way and felt his stomach turn. These were not the people he wanted to see.

They were soldiers. And he knew them.
