I might join. Can someone clarify exactly what the situation is for everyone right now, though? I got a little bit confused towards the end. The Zanthinians are mostly crushed, and both other armies are running around doing whatever they want?
Is that correct?
I'll probably join. But I have one question: Are all the remaining Zanthians in hiding? Or did they move to one of the other two countries (forgot their names) and just started a new life there?
Okay. Yes, I was thinking major plot developments. As it happens, when I wrote the rules I was expecting us to have a general plot we'd be steering things toward, and in that case, I didn't want someone to post something that threw it all out the window without us having agreed we liked the new direction. I just hadn't bothered to edit that out since we don't have a general plot after all.
Isi and Aljeron: Hopefully this will answer both of your questions. The general situation is that Zanthine doesn't really exist as a nation anymore--just scattered bands of refugees and such. Maybe a few people fled to Astrava and Leonar, but since those nations are essentially gone now too, they didn't gain much. :) There are two relatively large bands of soldiers running around--the remains of the armies of Astrava and Leonar. Their generals are trying to set up petty kingdoms, basically. There are also hundreds of bandit gangs made up of soldiers who deserted and others who lost their villages in the war. The majority of that activity is centered in the remains of Astrava and Leonar, but quite a few of the bandit gangs have moved into Zanthine because there's less competition and if they get to the cities, there might still be some very good loot.
Finally (I think): Just because no one is specifically writing for any antagonists doesn't mean there won't be any. There are hundreds of former soldiers running around, giving plenty of danger. Also, one or both of the generals of Astrava and Leonar may be planning to move their sphere of influence into Zanthine and set themselves up there. So I think we'll be able to find plenty of plot conflict. We can even get conflict between the characters, since they don't have to have the same goals. Some might want revenge, while others just want peace. Things like that.
(Oh, and Ebby...you missed one of the old names in your profile for Cosette.)

All right, I'll join. We'll see if I'll be able to stay in.
Name: Jador
Age: 40
Occupation: Was a very wealthy and successful merchant from Zanthine before Astrava and Leonar destroyed it all.
Description: Short black hair, sun-tanned skin, short, and a little overweight.
Personality: Ever since he lost his wealth and fled from the armies of Asrava and Leonar, he's been very ... angry, I guess you could say. He was one of those "filthy rich" people who were used to being able to buy whatever they wanted, so suddenly having nothing has stuck him in a seemingly permanent bad mood. Even though he's now poor, he still looks down his nose at other poor people, as if he was better off than them.
Name: Korr
Age: 29
Occupation: Was one of the caravan guards for his master, Jador, before Astrava and Leonar attacked.
Description: Blond hair, muscular, about six feet tall, able to use a sword and spear effectively (though at the moment he only has his sword), and has a few scars on both arms from when the armies of Astrava and Leonar attacked.
Personality: Due to his master's "personality" (to put it one way) Korr has had to be the rational and smart one of the group. He's completely loyal to Jador, willing to die for him (and almost did).
Also: He was the only one under Jador's employment to escape with his master. They are both currently wandering around the remains of Zanthine.
Ok. sounds good!:D There's only one more question I have before I make my characters.;)
If we're all only allowed to write for two characters...how are we going to keep the story going? Or do you just mean two characters who are OURS and are written for on a regular basis?
Each of the writers gets two characters, Mindy. Like, I have Cosette and Kiril. If, however, I ever wanted to make another character, I'd have to kill one of them first.
Btw, thanks, Fal. I knew I'd probably missed one of those...XD

It was actually my youngest brother who noticed. I didn't even read at first because I'd seen it already. XD
Yup, those are good, Aljy.
Here's one of my chars. I may not make another one until later in the story.
Name: Philip
Gender: Male
Age: 33
Appearance: Medium height, with broad shoulders. Dark hair and eyes, with dark tan skin. He has a collection of battle scars, a few of which are on his face and arms.
Background: The younger son of a prominent merchant in Zanthine, he had an interest in tactics and warfare from a young age, and so chose to join the City Guard. He did very well there, eventually working his way up to second-in-command. His city was one of the first ones destroyed by the combined forces of Astrava and Leonar. He was badly injured in the fighting and barely survived.
Personality: Generally cheerful and kind. He loves puzzles and trying to guess what his opponents will do next. He’s not above manipulating people, and might withhold the truth or outright lie if he believes it is necessary.
