"Evil is abounding everywhere and many ambitious and conniving warlords fight for power, but one is rising above all the rest. He is a mighty swordsman, but that is not his main strength. He is well learned in the dark arts (evil magic). His armies are made up of many Haervuun (short, stocky creatures with pale skin. They have beards, and long fingers. They use any weapon but like huge swords and javelins. They detest Daarimaar and it's allies), Varlakks (large animal like creatures whose faces prutrude in a almost triangular way. Has gray skin and is a very good runner. Their hind legs are like that of a dog's, only Varlakks stand on two feet.), last but not least in his armies is the wicked Vranu (they are the elite his army. Extremely heavy armored Vranu are deadly accurate crossbowmen. They also LOVE maces, especially mace and chains.).
A few years before our story starts a young warrior named Maedrron (pronoced Medron) comes forth from the land of Darimaar. Basically he is one of those figures where all the people love him, and everyone thinks he should be the leader of the realm. Everyone that is but Baedimoar (the old ruler of Darimaar who has no wife/children). Baedrimoar hates Maedrron. (i think of their relationship as almost that of King Saul and young David) To solve his problems with Maedrron Baedrimoar exiles him. But then Maedrron finds out from a vision about the host of evil that will beset Darimaar and Mavrinaluuie, and that should they not have help from another source they shall be overrun. The vision also tells him of Gremadrok (they were unkown by by all other civilization). Thus he and a small group of friends who refused to let him be exiled alone, set forth to find the realm of Gremadrok and to seek the aid and the hope that it might and could give. But first they must survive many perils and adventures along the way.
One of the perils of which he will face is the geat forest realm of the Bounty Hunters lead by Archon of Shadows. Bounty Hunters are highly trained and skilled. They are armed to the teeth and have a small (emphasis on small) skill in magic. Their leader however is quite skilled in the arts of magic. He and his men fight for themselves and no one else. They have a secret fortress that no one knows the location of. This is where the Archon trains his Bounty Hunters and this is also their base. They can be hired at a great sum to do elite tasks. However they will drop everything and do whatever their leader tells them should he order it. Example: should they be working for someone and their leader tell them to stop all outside connections they will immediately turn on their former employer.
Maedrron starts out with his friends toward Gremadrok. The Archon of Shadows however has heard of his journey from one of his faithful Bounty-Hunters. He is determined to stop Maedrron from crossing through th Southern tip of his forest realm (Maedrron has to do that to get to the secret path that leads to Gremadrok). He sends a small brigade of Bounty-Hunters lead by Lenieth's char to destroy Maedrron. as Maedron and his friends cross into the forest a horrible storm comes out of the blue.
The storm gets worse. All of a sudden Maedrron and his friends spot a cave. They all run for shelter.
The Archon's bounty hunters and all their many slaves that fight for them are chasing Maedrron. Then the storm comes up. They watch as Maedrron and his group go into the cave. Normally they would follow suit but they now that that very cave si actually the Forest Labyrinth, teeming with evil creatures. The Archon has warned his troops of it many times. The bounty hunters know that Maedrron is as good as dead. Their mission is practically accomplished.
Maedrron is astounded. In front of him is the lengendary Hell-Hound, a dog with many heads, fire breath, and huge fangs in each head. Around his heads swirl legions of bloodthirsty vampire bats. In the distance the screech of harpies comes to Maedrrons ear. The door to the "cave" closes with a bang.
What to do?"
