Email Address?

So, I am trying to change my email address on here because it is currently set to my mom's address from back when I got this account when I was about 12. The only problem is that everytime I go to try to change it, it asks for my new address, then it asks for the verification code. From what I can gather, the verification code is just the text above the box. Now, when I enter all that into the boxes and submit it, the red text says that I have the verification code wrong.

Am I doing something wrong?

Honestly, it's not a really big deal, it's not like my mom's getting emails spamming her inbox or anything like that. Actually, she may not use the address anymore.... I would just like to have my own address there... just in case. :)

Signatures are annoying, I refuse to have one.

I think there are a few safeguards that Bladeadmin added to keep spambots out.

Here's what I tried and it seemed to work:

--Goto My Control Center.
--Click on "Edit Email Settings" on the left.
--Enter your new email address and click the Submit button.
--Red confirmation message should appear at the top - but you are not done yet.

--Click on "Edit Email Settings" again.
--A new window comes up looking for a confirmation code to complete the change.
--In another browser or new tab open your email account.
--There should be an email from barlownet.com with the confirmation code.
--Copy the code & paste the code into the confirmation code box and click the Submit button again.
--Another red confirmation message should come up - now you're done.
