Yes. It was pretty good. Not the best I've seen, but it was pretty good.

What's it about?

It's about this guy who eventually becomes a pro football player (but it's not about football--I mean, I don't like football and I loved it--of course one of my favorite movies is "Remember the Titans" so, yeah... anyway I babble). When he was in high school, he was basically homeless, and this white family (this takes place in Memphis, TN, and he's a black guy) takes him in and sort of adopts him and basically turns his life around, but they're not like, "Look at us we're so virtuous," they're more like, "Yeah, that's our kid." And it's not about race either, though that comes into it; it's just the story of this guy and this family and the bond that grows between them, and it's just a wonderful story. And Sandra Bullock is fantastic as the mother of the family (though it was weird to see her as a blonde)--in the movie, at least (it was a book first, and it's based on a true story, and at the end they show clips and pictures of the real people which was really cool) was the driving force behind taking him in and sending him to college and everything, and just the way she portrayed her was really well done and convincing. Plus, something that I found really refreshing about it, was that it shows real Christians being Christ-like, and it shows that in a really positive light, which is something that you don't find too often in Hollywood.

hm. I haven't seen the Blind Side, but someone told me that the Christians had filthy mouths.:P

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Frodo: I can't do this, Sam.
Sam: I know. It's all wrong. By rights we shouldn't even be here. But we are. It's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger, they were. And sometimes you didn't want to know the end. Because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it's only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you. That meant something, even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn't. They kept going. Because they were holding on to something.
Frodo: What are we holding onto, Sam?
Sam: That there's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo... and it's worth fighting for.
Well, they told you wrong. There were maybe four or five curses in the whole thing, and they were pretty mild, and maybe two of them came from the Christians, and one of them was (in my view) quite justified. So there. XP
