Hey bladeadmin, thanks for taking time out of your day to post the rules here (this is NOT sarcasm). I appreciate your willingness to provide clarity for us.

With that said, just curious, would critique (for example, saying you found the plot to drag a lot at times and that it's predictable) be viewed as abusive text by you?

Just trying to feel out where exactly the line is drawn so i don't cross it unintentionally...

Also, if we posted a warning in the thread title that it contains cult information for the sake of debate, would that then be okay to post then?

So, the BotB administrator has been more than co-operative with me and others now, so i retract what i had on my sig, but leave the picture because i, well, think it looks pretty cool...

oh, and you can still check out hot topics and debates here: [z4.invisionfree.com]

thank you,

Also, please explain how you're defining "cult". When I look it up in on dictionary.com, 5 of the 8 definitions apply to Christianity as well as Wicca. None of the remaining 3 apply to Wicca, except in extremist sects, which Christianity also has. So how are you differentiating? Are we not allowed to discuss any religion other than Christianity? If so, does this also apply to Judaism and Islam? What about sects of Christianity that are widely regarded as cultish, such as the worship practiced in the Westboro Baptist Church? What about the forcible conversion of people to Christianity, which could be regarded as a negative portrayal of Christianity itself? Are non-Christians allowed to admit on the site that they are non-Christian, and answer questions about their religion if asked? Please understand, I don't mean these questions to be disrespectful; I'm just trying to cover all the bases, because I'm pretty sure all of these discussions have come up before or will come up in the future.

What about discussion of things like, for example, sex or violence in movies? Obviously graphic depictions of either are right out, but if we're discussing the morality of them, is that okay?

And what about debates we've had before, like abortion, evolution/creation, predestination/free will, or homosexuality? Provided the discussion stays "PG or under," are these okay?

Thanks for your time.

I would assume so. As long as they are civil, and don't touch on more mature subjects.

I hope so, because I'm going to start one today.
