LOL trav...

But I think I would rather have Jeremy Camp's song "There will be a day" or 33 Miles's song "What could be better"

i think that might be because of the way the story's told in hideous strength, i still haven't finished it, but from what i've read so far there's a lot of character establishment and plot foundation to be laid before you can really get into what the story is about. honestly, i kinda wish that lewis had used out of the silent planet as a means to introduce more of the bad guys so that way you wouldn't have two tiny books and then one massive book that's bigger than the other two combined

Back to the point, I doubt I'll care what music is played, if I get to see my Lord and hear Him say, "Well, done, My good and faithful servant."

Ok, so I just finished rereading Lewis' "Perelandra" for a class, and had forgotten (or perhaps never realized--I was only 12 when I read it the first time) how BEAUTIFUL the ending is. I mean, I was crying when Ransom met the King for the first time, and the eldils started with the "Blessed be He" section, and the Dance...and then I went to Astronomy class, and Dr. N was talking all about the galaxies and how huge they were and showing us pictures from the Hubble telescope...anyway, with all that being said, this seemed an appropriate topic to resurrect.

Oh yeah, Perelandra's a great book. Did you read the one before it in the trilogy, "Out of the Silent Planet"?

I did. And we're starting "That Hideous Strength" today.
