I don't remember seeing this thread before--must have been during my dark year...lol. But that's actually something I thought about when we first saw the song, wondering if it would be a prophacy of some kind. I mean, usually when you have something like that in a fantasy novel, it turns out to be important later. Most authors aren't going to waste time with something like that if they're not going to bring it back later. Think of Katniss' lullaby in The Hunger Games. Think of...well, I was going to say all the poetry in LotR, but part of that is because Tolkien WAS willing to "waste" time with all of that. LOL.
Is there anything new to be said on this topic, now that I've bumped it?
