Like another poster "i really didn't feel like reading all 10 of these pages, so i'm gonna throw my opinion in on the end... "

At points the book did become long winded; however, it never went to a point where I would skip any text because of it.

As a Christian I found Joriams and Benjiah struggles as a prophet of God very interesting.

The books are not simply knockoffs and show plenty of originality. It would also be prudent to wait until the series is finished before anyone makes a railing judgment on the BOTB.

Yeah. Lord of the Rings gets long-winded. BotB doesn't.

So...if there's a book that happens to be very original and well-written, but the religious system is clearly based off of a real religion (not necessarily Christianity) then the book is only good for fuel? Why on earth is that? Some people deliberately base their fictional religious system off of a real religion; why does that lessen their ability?

You have to consider other parts. Like in Narnia, it's more "how would God work in this world" then another relign, and the same for BotB.
