Does anyone remember in Book 1 when the giants were talking about the men, and one of them said, "He is with them."?

I suspected they were talking about Synoki. So I wasn't surprised when he appeared to Rulalin inside the mountain.

The first "hint" though that Synoki was Malek was when Rulalin was forbidden from seeing Malek when swearing allegiance to him. At first, the only possibility might have been that Malek didn't want Rulalin to be persuaded by his deformity (once that was clarified in the story). But as Synoki's malice and cunning, his ability to manipulate, became more evident, the thought did begin to form in my mind. I didn't heed it until the Epilog of Book 3, where it looked like a strong possibility.

on page 343 synoki is with the vulstryim and one of them says master are you ready and he replies yes and then has a thought that all kirthanin will soon be his

however if synoki is malek then why did he pass out after blowing suliminder to the ground isnt he like super powerful

Giving his power away to Cheimontyr severely weakened him. I believe it was mentioned in the book . . . somewhere. . . .

ok in book 4, sulmandir is flying over the woods and that big blast knocks him to the ground, then later the vulsutyrim are carrying synoki and he is passed out, one of the giants turns and asks if the other has ever seen anything like that and he replies "not in a long time"

so if synoki isn't malek....thats just messed up

still i think he is malek...as for what the giants said it sounds exactly like it fits Erigon(sp?), Sarneth's son, said, 'our enemy is not onmipotent and his powers do have limits.' or something like that...Malek can't use his powers to that extent without it exacting a price on his body...in a way it makes sense that he gave some of his power to Chyimontyr, he can perhaps wield it more easily than malek could...

nailed it right on the head stefa. Erigan is either Aryntol or Sarneth's son. I think he is Sarneth, but at any rate, Seagan doesn't have a son.

about why he was weakened you have to remember that when he took that huge fall from avalione he couldn't go back to his titan form, therefor that would just make him a weak human with powers, so shooting down a dragon would probably knock him out, i think he has the bad foot because of his fall also
